Amine Solution Cleaning
from Mechanical Impurities
and Heat-Stable Salts
The technology was developed jointly with the Institute
of Petrochemical Synthesis of the Russian Academy of Sciences
and has been successfully implemented at LUKOIL, TANECO, Atyrau Refinery, and other industrial facilities.

This approach allows customers to:
Reduce foam formation in circulation;
Prolong the lifetime of amine solutions;
Restore the absorption capacity;
Lower operating costs by reducing solution replacement and waste disposal needs.

REOCAT offers advanced amine solution purification services using mobile modules, including:
a filtration unit for the removal of mechanical particles, colloids, resins, and hydrocarbons;
a membrane electrodialysis unit for the removal of heat-stable salts without dilution of the solution.

THIS LEADS TO:
intensive foaming of the solution;
increased corrosivity;
reduced absorption efficiency;
increased equipment wear;
loss of the solution’s operating performance
Solutions of monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), and other amines used in gas treating units gradually accumulate contaminants and degradation products
over time.
